As We Get Ready to Re-Open

We hope that you are safe and well and we can’t wait to see you back in the clubs having fun and getting fit!

As we approach the end of Phase 2, we wanted to provide you with an update on our reopening plans and what we’ve been doing to get ready to welcome you all back in the coming weeks. Since we closed our doors in March we have been hard at work deep cleaning & disinfecting our clubs, increasing the amount of hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipe stations around the club and creating new guidelines within the clubs to keep everyone safe while you work out. Your safety and wellbeing are our highest priorities!

In accordance with Governor Baker’s guidance, we are planning to reopen as part of Phase 3, which is currently scheduled to begin on July 6th. We will, of course, follow all federal, state and local guidelines to keep everyone safe while working out. In addition, we have implemented certain protocols to limit occupancy, enhance hygiene and increase social/physical distancing. To maintain these, we will also need your help and are updating some of our policies to set clear expectations for everyone and an FAQ, which we hope will answer most of your questions.

Cleaning and Sanitizing

While we have always prioritized cleanliness, we have used the time of our temporary closure to source advanced hospital–grade cleaners, disinfectants and equipment and train our teams in the proper usage. All staff will continually clean and disinfect high touch areas, equipment, etc. throughout the day while in the club.  The club will be disinfected twice daily (we will close in the middle of the day for an hour and then again when we close at night). All disinfecting products are medical–grade and are shown effective in EPA listings related to COVID and other viruses.  We have also purchased electrostatic sprayers to disinfect some of the harder to reach places and equipment. We ask that all members disinfect equipment before and after each use. Staff will be available to help and educate members on proper disinfection. We are also providing extra sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer throughout the gym, group exercise rooms and locker rooms.
Once we introduce classes back into the gyms, our staff will be disinfecting all group fitness equipment between each class to ensure your safety.  We will be requiring all members to sign up for classes in advance and will be scheduling a minimum 30-minute gap between classes to give ample time to disinfect.
We have sourced a large quantity of 70% and 80% Alcohol based hand sanitizer above and beyond the CDC’s guidelines of 60%.  Members and Staff will be required to use sanitizer dispensers when entering the club and throughout the day.
Members are asked to disinfect equipment before and after each use with our supplied disinfectant wipes.  Our wipes are EPA approved and a proven “one step” disinfectant cleaner against bacteria and viruses.  Please allow appropriate dry time for the disinfecting process to take place.

To ensure the safest possible environment for our members and staff, we will be limiting club hours upon initial reopening. We will be closing during each day for 1 hour to fully disinfect each club. Our temporary hours for each club is listed below:
