For many of our members a big part of the BodyScapes experience is about community, working out together, pushing each other, or simply getting to know your Longwood neighbors. Our Group Exercise Program is a great way to get fit and connect, and the classes are always free. The following is a representative list of options, ranging from the classics to the newest stuff. This high-intensity class fuses the disciplines of Pilates, Lotte Berk, yoga, core-conditioning and stretching to produce long, lean muscles and a strong, flexible body. Challenge your body to work from the inside out through repetitive movements in small muscle groups, with particular focus on legs, bottom, core, and arms. This class is open to all levels, though some experience in Pilates is recommended.
Your core takes center stage in this class, but your arms, legs, chest and back help with the show. Great for all fitness levels!
Target and challenge the abdominals, back, and hips in this 30 minute work out. All fitness levels welcome!
Learn indoor cycling terminology, how to set up the bike, and ride in the proper form. Enjoy riding with great music and friends. Great class for beginners or anyone looking for a refresher! (All abilities are welcome)
A great cycle workout if you have limited time. Work at your own level. All fitness levels welcome.
This class is the best of both worlds. With about 45 minutes of cycling followed by some core work, this class is sure to make you sweat.

Add a new dimension to your core training by adding props like fitness circles, resistance bands, foam rollers, and balance balls to the traditional mat pilates class.
Total Body Toning is a full body workout, which incorporates functional movements, plyometrics, core, and cardiovascular endurance. All levels are welcome.
An athletic flowing yoga using breathing to lengthen your pose. Power yoga is a combination of dynamic breathing and strong movement that creates a high energy workout. This workout utilizes a sequence of postures that build strength, unwind tight joints, and loosen muscles. Power yoga is directed at creating the highest level of energy, vitality, and freedom. This class is recommended for intermediate and advanced members.
A yoga class that combines postures to improve muscular strength with postures to improve flexibility. Class focuses on correct breathing techniques to calm the body and the mind. Class concludes with deep relaxation. All fitness levels welcome.
A popular, evolving form of traditional hatha yoga that focuses on integrating breath and movement, awareness and alignment, strength and flexibility, yoga practice and daily life. Likened to a dynamic dance, postures or asanas are connected through breath for transformative and balancing effect. All levels of fitness are welcome.
55 minutes of strength & endurance interval training on the bike, followed by 35 minutes of yoga targeting the muscles used during cycling, ending with 5 minutes of relaxation. Great class for all who are looking to increase their fitness level and flexibility.
Zumba combines Latin rhythms with cardiovascular exercise to create a fun, easy-to- follow, calorie-burning dance routine. Great for all levels.
Insanity is a workout regimen with a focus on strenuous stamina training. the program emphasizes “max interval training. No weights or any other equipment are needed for the workout. Modifications are available.

Anything goes in Boot Camp! Challenge yourself with this fast- paced, calorie-blasting workout. Boot Camp is geared toward all fitness levels. Modifications are always offered for the beginner to the advanced.
Barre is a total-body workout that combines simple ballet-inspired movements with Pilates and core-conditioning exercises. By targeting smaller muscle groups that are typically neglected in traditional strength training you will improve your core stability, posture, and joint alignment while increasing your range of motion.
Virtual Core Fusion is a focused, efficient, and challenging series of mat based muscular resistance exercises targeting the abdominals, obliques, glutes, and low/mid back regions. All exercises are bodyweight-only with options to use common household such as small towels, thick socks, books, and beverage bottles. All levels welcome; modifications available.
This practice is designed to restore the nervous system and help release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. All levels welcome.
